Gamble while gaming: Rockstar has pointed out with a tweet the (probably) imminent opening of a casino in GTA Online. So the construction works should be finished soon and you can gamble your money away in GTA 5.
In the short Tweet clip, the GTA Online logo lights up in combination with a typical neon casino sign. Rockstar wrote: 'Opening soon: A luxury casino in the heart of Vinewood...'. And with that it's certain - the casino, eagerly awaited by many GTA players, will soon open its doors and invite you to gamble in Vinewood. Let's hope that gambling remains allowed in the game. ;)

Players have noticed for some time now that Rockstar is working on a bigger thing. Because the construction work in Vinewood couldn't be overlooked. Construction lights, pallets, scaffolding - it's clear. Then came the Dataminers, who leaked some files from the civil engineering office. The leaks at least show that you can pass the time with card games in Vinewood's casino when you're not shooting around in GTA Online. We are confident that other casino games will find their way to Vinewood. Slots maybe? The roulette wheel in the logo also speaks for itself.

GTA 5 Online Casino Update: Release Date nears for Grand Theft Auto DLC with big changes? Posted on 2019-06-13 At the time of writing Rockstar hasn’t even acknowledged the Casino changes they’ve been subtly making to the game in the past weeks, let alone a release date. Below is an updated list of all of the weekly Grand Theft Auto 5 updates for Grand Theft Auto Online. Each week Rockstar releases new cars, modes, missions, races, and deals (Free money!). In 2013, the casino appears to have been under construction prior to the events of Grand Theft Auto V. An 'Opening Soon' banner is present outside the main entrance. As indicated by the signage outside the building, Fleeca and Shark credit cards are accepted at the casino. There are electronic advertisements for Shark, Fleeca and Dusche Gold.
Dataminer also believe to know about the opening date. It is supposed to be the beginning of July. Maybe Rockstar will 'just' roll out a casino update soon. Or the developers surprise us with a larger DLC for GTA 5 or GTA Online. Will Rockstar also offer us a casino performance?

At the time of writing Rockstar hasn’t even acknowledged the Casino changes they’ve been subtly making to the game in the past weeks, let alone a release date.
That said we can have a fairly good stab at predicting when they might look to release this latest game-changing update to GTA Online.
Firstly, Rockstar tend to release new content drops on a Thursday. If you look at the past three weeks these updates have normally arrived every Thursday and you can continue to go back for weeks on end.
It’s just when Rockstar likes to drop new content.
So it’s possible that we could see this new DLC arrive as early as today, but if not we suspect we won’t be waiting too much longer for the content to drop.
It’s been, after all, over 6 months since the games last major expansion, which came with the GTA Online: Arena War update in mid-December.
Prior to that, we had the After Hours update released in July 2018 and before that Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series in March 2018.

Looking at 2018 on it’s own Rockstar rarely went longer than 4 or 5 months before dropping another ‘big’ expansion.
Understandably Rockstar has been busy with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online since late 2018. It was only Mid May that Red Dead Online officially left it’s ‘beta’ period.
Will GTA Online Casino update add a new currency?
Playing devils advocate there’s one thing which suggests we might have to wait a little bit longer for this update, and that’s all to do with the potential for new mini-game, a recent Red Dead Online update and microtransactions.
Something Gamesrader has eloquently explained in a separate report.
“This news comes shortly after poker and other gambling games were added toRed Dead Online, stirring the pot since the game has microtransactions,” writes Ford James on Gamesrader.
“Only gold bars can be bought with real money however, and gambling in that game uses dollars, which are a separate currency.
“For Rockstar to avoid uproar, it’ll need to introduce a second currency to GTA Online that can’t be bought with real money, which we haven’t had any sign of yet.
“Only time will tell, however, and it’s likely that Red Dead Online’s gambling was used to test the waters for GTA Online, which is their big-time cash cow.
We don’t think we’re going to be waiting too much longer for the GTA Online Casino Update to arrive, but it certainly feels like it could be another major expansion to the ever-growing Grand Theft Auto universe.
